Pre Handover Inspections for New Homes

Our Pre Handover Inspections for New Homes are designed to the Australian Standards and Tolerances which was established by the Building Commission in 2007 to inspect new homes and list a description of any areas that have not been built to the Australian Standard.

It is our expert opinion that before a client pays there final payment that they have a Pre Handover Inspection carried out which lists all the relevant defects that can then be repaired by the builder prior to the final payment being made as once the final payment is made it is often very difficult to get the builder to return to rectify problems and often the builders response is that the defects are a result of maintanence and the home owner is not covered.

Our Pre Handover Inspection services cover a wide area including Melbourne and outer suburbs including Geelong, Sunbury, Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island.

Why you need to get a Pre Handover New Home Inspection. Here is what we've found recently...

This leak was found in flashing around the heating vent which could have caused serious damage to ceiling plaster if gone unnoticed.
South brick wall has a huge bow in the centre caused by poor bricklaying which does not meet Australian Standard.
This box gutter is holding water on a new property which will lead to inevitable leaks.

What we've also found recently in many new homes is shower plumbing waste pipes are being blocked by grout and building waste due to construction. On one particular inspection the bathroom had to be rebuilt on a brand new home prior to the client taking possession.
